Ye Olde Salutation Inn Hauntings

Ye Olde Salutation Inn has stood on that site since 1242 and it has been used for many purposes over the years.

It was once the living accommodation of a tanner who used it for his workshop, it has been an Inn, once called Arch Angel Michael Salutes the Virgin Mary - a rather strange name for a pub!

In 1642-1646, when the English Civil was was going on, the building was used as a recruiting station for both sides of the war.

There are caves which go underneath Ye Olde Salutation Inn, some say there is a ghost of a 4 year old girl haunting them, more recently a landlord of the Inn found his keys had been taken from the bar area, even though nobody else was in the Inn.

A landlady refused to go down into the cellar because of a very frightening experience she had, she never said what it was but she felt unable to enter into the cellar ever again.

Haunted Evenings, a paranormal investigation company will be checking out this venue on Saturday 26th November 2011, along with their tech people, who have the very latest in sensory equipment, both visual and audio, and their excellent Psychic Medium who will try to make contact with the Entities directly.

If you would like to experience a paranormal investigation first hand, please check out our website and book yourself an evening to remember, don't forget to take a torch because once the investigation begins its "Lights Out" everything is pitch black.
